FUNDING

A child is eligible to attend Bampton Pre-School Playgroup from the age of
2 ½. The following funding is available for children dependent upon their age:

From 2 ½
Children attending Pre-School at this age are not Government Funded. This means that parents are charged a fee of £2.60 per hour for each session their child has a place. This amount is invoiced per ½ term at the start of each ½ term (ie. 6 times per year). If you are receiving benefits some Government Funding may be available – please talk to the Administrator or Supervisor if you think you may be eligible.

From 3
All children are eligible to Government Funded Pre-School education from the term after their third birthday. (If your child is 3 in October, you will be entitled to Government funding from the following January – the start of the next term.) Children are currently entitled to 15 hours per week at any setting. Therefore if your child attends both a nursery and Pre-school they will only get a total of 15 hours per week, this may be shared between settings. Once your child is Government funded you will receive a form to complete each term to enable Pre-School to claim funding.

Parents may wish their child to attend more than 15 hours per week, providing space is available you are welcome to do so. Any extra hours will be invoiced at £2.60 per hour in the usual way.
