Would you like to know more about what your child gets up to at Pre-School?! Would you like to see for yourself how the session runs?
Then come and stay with your child for a session and you might be surprised! Helping at a Pre-School session is fun, rewarding and is of great benefit to your child, as well as being an invaluable help to the Pre-School staff. Your younger children are more than welcome to stay too, and it’s a great way of getting them used to Pre-School before they start. You can help by just being with the children, playing with them or reading to them, or you can help in a practical sense by preparing snacks, tidying up, etc. (We even have a dishwasher now so you won’t even have lots of washing up to do!)

We realise that many of you work so find it hard to help. If this is the case, you can always send someone in your place if you are able to (grandparents, partners, friend), or if you speak to Debbie there may be other ways you can help instead (we always need help with grass cutting, maintenance, washing of resources, etc).
We really rely on having help from parents at each Pre-School session and the children miss out without it. There is always a rota sheet up in reception and we ask that you help at as many sessions a term as your child attends per week (so if they attend 2 sessions per week, you would help for 2 sessions between September and December) up to a maximum of 5 sessions per term (if your child attends 7 sessions per week, you just have to help at 5 per term), and if you have more than one child at Pre-School you still only need to help up to a maximum of 5 per term.
We would really appreciate more help, and hope that you will sign up on the sheet as soon as you can to see for yourselves how good fun it can be. Above all, we feel that helping at Pre-School is a fantastic way of witnessing a very important stage of your child’s life which you will always remember................
