Bampton Pre-School currently employs 7 members of staff, 6 of whom work with the children on a daily basis and an administrator. Below are details of their positions and a list of qualifications and courses attended.
Supervisor - Debbie Wiles Debbie is the longest serving member of staff at Bampton Pre-School. She joined in 2002 as Playhelper, was promoted to Assistant Supervisor in 2004 and Supervisor in 2005. Both her children attended Pre-School , then Bampton Primary school and are now both at Secondary School. Debbie has been living in the village for 22 years and is well involved in the local community.
Qualifications:Foundation Degree & BA(Hons) Early Childhood Studies Early Years Professional Status (EYPS) NVQ2 and 3 in Child care and education, first aid trained, food hygiene, Special Education Needs co-ordinator, Child protection co-ordinator.
Assistant Supervisor -Maggie Barrett
I'm Maggie Barrett and I live in Standlake with my daughter Jade who is eighteen. My other daughter, Carla, is 23 and currently at The University of Southampton studying Human Geography as a Post graduate Student. Previous to working a Bampton Pre-School I worked for 6 months at Toddlercare in Culham where I was Deputy Manager. I left there because I prefer working with children of pre-school age. Before that I was the Supervisor at Cassington Pre-School for a year and before that I was Deputy Supervisor at Minster Lovell Playgroup for 5 years. When I'm not working I enjoy gardening and cooking.
Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education, Foundation Degree in Early Years, First Class Honours Degree in Early Childhood Studies, Early Years Professional Status. Other Training: Specialist Safeguarding training, Paediatric First Aid, EYFS training, SENCo training, Equality and Diversity Training2
Pre-School Assistant - Clare Kemsley
Clare joined Bampton Pre-School in January 2007 as Playhelper. She has been living with her family in the village for 11 years. One of her children is now in University, one is in Secondary School and the youngest still attends Primary School. Clare is involved in all sorts of activities in the local community and really enjoys her work with the younger children.

Pre-School Assistant - Ann-Marie Norman
Ann-Marie has been living in Bampton for 10 years. Her three sons all attended Bampton Pre-School and have now moved on to Bampton Primary School. Ann-Marie joined Bampton Pre-School in 2008 as a Playhelper. She loves to play with children and also enjoys cooking and reading (whenever she finds time to do so!)
NVQ 2&3 in Child Care Development, First Aid and Child protection.
Pre-School Assistant - Clair Green
Clair originally moved to Bampton in 1985 with her parents and sister. She left home and moved to Witney in 1999 only to return to Bampton in 2004. She attended Bampton Primary School for two years before moving up to Henry Box High School. She has two children who both attend Bampton Primary School. Prior to becoming a Play-helper, Clair was a registered child-minder. She loves spending time with her children, cooking and gardening.
First Aid
Pre-School Assistant -Samm Price
Samm joined Bampton Pre-School at the beginning of 2012, she has 3 children and has returned to childcare after a break. Samm has prevoiusly worked at St Johns Pre-School in Carterton Church Hall and was a childminder. She has a level 4 qualification in childcare as well as certificates in food hygiene and safeguarding children. She enjoys gardening and crafts with children.
Administrator - Angy Irvin
Angy has been on the Committee of Bampton Pre-School Playgroup since June 2007. During that time she helped organize various fund-raising events and was enrolment secretary. In early 2009, she was made administrator for Pre-School. Angy is now responsible for processing applications, invoicing and collecting fees, organizing County Council Funding and dealing with other administration duties. She is available in the office at Pre-School on Monday and Thursday mornings if you have any issues you wish to discuss with her. Angy has got two children, both of whom attended Pre-School and have now moved onto Bampton Primary School. First Aid.
Work Experience - Mark Warner
Mark is currently on work experience with Bampton Preschool
All staff are continually training to keep up to date with current legislation and qualification targets.
